As a Senior Software Engineer you will contribute to a global team that will create high quality products that meet rigid safety and airworthiness standards for flight.
Our department continues to push the technology envelope for processing technologies in everything from operating systems to user applications and the middleware which binds these together.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the design development and maintaining of flight-critical embedded display software for military avionics displays supporting programs such as E-2D KC-135 AWACS C-130 and beyond.
- Identify the root cause of moderate to complex software issues using appropriate debug and analysis tools.
- Clearly summarize encountered technical software issues to project leadership in a timely fashion.
- Work autonomously with limited oversight from manager.
- Expand your knowledge base on various software and system components to be able to support potential software development tasks.
- Assist an engineering team by organizing tasks coordinating team efforts asking questions communicating status raising issues brainstorming ideas helping others practicing active listening and promoting a collaborative environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Current or previous experience within Avionics (development or usage).
- Experience with software development or testing experience.
- Up to 10% of travel both domestic and global as needed.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- ADA language experience
- MATLAB Simulink experience (Model Based Development)
- Collins Aerospaces Flight2 experience.
- AGILE development experience.
- DO-178 (or similar) certification-based development experience.
- Excellent proactive communication (written verbal and interpersonal).

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
