Job Description

Description
Scope
- The purpose of this role is to provide mainframe expertise for the Courts Digital Transformation (CDT) projects data migration and/or integration workstreams which will include but not limited to data analysis data development preparation and extraction.

Assignment Deliverables
- Draft technical requirements and prepare detailed technical solution design for maintenance of operational enhancement of mainframe systems.
- Write or change maintain and unit test programs in IMS DB/DC Mainframe using IBM COBOL for ZOS PL/I BTS JCL and CLIST following existing standards. and nbsp;
- Write or change maintain and unit test programs for conversion and Integration (between the mainframe and application servers using tools such as Connect Direct and IMS connect) following existing standards. and nbsp;
- Promote programs from development to system test. System test online and batch programs. All work must follow existing standards. and nbsp;
- Provide support in the development and amp; production environments. and nbsp;
- Develop maintain and print reports using Clist. TSO etc. All work is required to be completed following the MSBs system development life cycle (SDLC). and nbsp;
- Prepare specifications and document all modifications and enhancements made following existing standards. and nbsp;
- Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines; and nbsp;
- Work with solution design lead to create data migration strategy and prepare data migration packages and nbsp;
- Provide application support including participation in on-call rotation and nbsp;
- Support the testing teams during system and user acceptance testing
- Prepare deployment packages of code and instructions for builds in Development UAT and participate in knowledge transfer and nbsp;

- At least 8 years of experience with mainframe application analysis and SDLC and nbsp;
Desired Skills and Experience
- Over 8 years of overall experience in entire Software Development Life Cycle and nbsp;
- Experience maintaining and supporting mainframe solutions and databases and nbsp;
- Strong knowledge of data migration processes involving mainframe systems and nbsp;
- Strong IBM COBOL experience and expertise with the mainframe environment and nbsp;
- Experience in implementing system to system integration (through APIs web services) involving mainframe applications and nbsp;
- Experience working in a similar technical environment
- Experience creating and maintaining reports within mainframe system and nbsp;
- Demonstrated experience in the use of tools to support application analysis and nbsp;
- Ability to apply lessons learned from applicable initiatives and nbsp;
- Successfully completed technical analysis of legacy applications for similar complex environments and nbsp;
- Experience creating data reports for data migration and nbsp;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and nbsp;
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills and nbsp;
- Track record for meeting deadlines in a complex program environment and nbsp;

- 5 year experience in designing developing and maintaining complex mission-critical mainframe applications operating on-line and in batch using an IMS platform and COBOL language. and nbsp;

- Demonstrated Experience leading data integration and migration initiatives. Including leading discovery sessions with stakeholders and members of technical team to gather analyze and document requirements for data migration. and nbsp;
- Creating pre and post migration data reports to ensure migration success data quality and data integrity with ETL process and use of ETL tools to prepare and complete and nbsp;
Criteria 3: and nbsp;Analytical Skills - 25 Points
- Translating business requirements functional specifications system documentation and use cases. This includes developing detailed programming specifications user interface designs prototypes configuration and customization compiling data driven programs conducting unit tests and debugging code. and nbsp;
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams of business and IT in dynamic and complex environment and nbsp;

Criteria 4: and nbsp;Public Sector Experience - 5 Points
- Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organization.
