The Tester Maintenance Technician position within Kimball Electronics Group is a service and repair provider for production test equipment. This test equipment includes machines used to test printed circuit boards and assemblies; and associated equipment to test PCAs after manufacture.
Organizationally the Tester Maintenance Technician is placed within the Manufacturing Engineering branch of engineering working under the Test Technician Team Leader. Functionally the Tester Maintenance Technician maintains the test equipment and responds to trouble calls. This groups primary focus is to maximize test equipment up-time.
A Tester Maintenance Technician executes a variety of tasks. Tasks include the following:
Test Fixture fabrication / Modification
Maintenance to equipment
Calibration and Validation of equipment
Error proofing
Read Schematics and test specifications
Coordinate service and upgrades
Train operators
Purchase and maintain spare parts inventory
Create work instructions
To be successful you will repair electronic/mechanical issues and provide detail documentation to the repair. Additionally a background in computer technology is needed.
