Service New Brunswick is seeking a civic-minded independent thinker to joinProperty Assessment Services Branch as Interim QualityAssuranceManager for an 18-month period. For this position a flexible work environment will be considered in terms of work location (hybrid) hours and methodologies to deliver the services you are accountable for.

Reporting to the Director Quality Assurance and Business Support you will be responsible for the management of the Quality Management System and Education programs. This highly independent role will provide leadership and direction to the quality assurance team as well as advice and support to process owners and leadership as the subject matter expert in quality will have the opportunity to work on leadership skills influence processes and connect with senior management as part of your personal development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the evolution of the Quality Management System within the branch and considering an impending system implementation
  • Developing and updating the Quality Assurance Annual Plan based on risk and operational requirements
  • Overseeing the execution of the Annual Plan including timing resource allocation and deliverables including quarterly follow-ups and reporting to the Executive Director
  • Identifying systematic issues and providing value add recommendations
  • Maintaining and improving the audit approach design including planning execution reporting and follow-up
  • Collaborating with other units within Property Assessment Services to ensure integration of quality assurance standards practices and methodology with daily operations and initiatives
  • Guiding the learning and development approach for the organization
  • Establishing monitoring and reporting on measurable outcomes for the QA and education programs
  • Participating in committees working groups and forums representing the quality assurance perspective
  • Providing subject matter expertise in quality assurance to Property Assessment Services
  • Coaching leading managing and mentoring a team of 3

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A university degree in Business Administration or other relevant field and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience including two (2) years of experience in auditing quality management systems or related activities and two (2) years of supervising equivalent combination of education training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:

  • Process Improvement
  • Management Systems
  • Data Analysis

Preference will be given to candidates with a relevant designation (CPA CIA ISO)

You may be asked to showcase one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:

  • This position may be required to travel on occasion within the province to regional offices; candidates must possess a valid drivers license.
  • There may be occasional weekday evenings or weekend work hours or times when this position must be accessible outside of normal work hours.
  • Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment
