ORS is proud to launch our brand-new Inclusive Employment Australia Mental Health Specialist division. We are seeking passionate motivated and high-performing Employment Consultants to support participants living with mental health conditions into meaningful sustainable employment.

This is a unique opportunity to work within an evidence-based service change lives and help build inclusive communities where everyone can thrive.


About the Role

As an Employment Consultant you will manage a caseload of participants with mental health disability and provide tailored person-centred support that empowers them to achieve their employment goals.

You will:

  • Deliver services using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Model the worlds most evidence-based approach to employment for people with mental illness.
  • Support participants through every step of their journey: vocational profiling job search resume and interview preparation placement post-placement support and ongoing support.
  • Strive to exceed individual and team performance targets delivering sustainable employment outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the service.
  • Build strong partnerships with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with NDIS and community providers ensuring wrap-around supports for participants wellbeing.
  • Monitor outcomes keep accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Celebrate participant achievements and foster resilience confidence and long-term success.

What You Will Need

  • A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification (Employment Services Community Services Mental Health or related field).
  • Experience in employment services mental health support or disability services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants their supports and employers.
  • Business development skills and local employer connections (highly regarded).
  • Current drivers licence and your own vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain all required clearances (NDIS Working with Children Police Check).
