The Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer with significant expertise in managing storage solutions. You will apply systems engineering principles throughout the full system lifecycle from concept to retirement and serve as the technical point of contact for the government on related issues. You will be responsible for the technical integrity and quality of work related to multiple process areas as defined by ISO/IEC15288 including requirements architecture implementation and risk management.
What Youll Bring
A High School Diploma/GED and nineteen (19) years of experience OR a Bachelors degree and fifteen (15) years of experience OR a Masters degree and thirteen (13) years of experience.
Significant experience managing storage solutions including purchases for specific classifications cloud or servers.
A strong understanding of various file systems (XFS Lustre NFS EXT4 etc.).
Experience with performance testing of IOPS and developing/evaluating test plans.
Knowledge of various types of hardware configurations (RAID Grid RAID etc.) and storage networks (SAN Ethernet etc.).
Familiarity with different types of storage interfaces and tools (SSD PCIe NVMe etc.).
Experience with fundamental Linux commands and OS structure as well as a programming language (Python preferred).
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph is required. We are not able to upgrade clearances or accept CCAs. Please note you must have the required clearance for consideration; under-cleared applicants will not receive a response.
