Logistic Administrator - Second Shift

We are looking for an eager Logistics Administratorwho will work onsite in our Zeeland MI warehouse and assist in the operation of the Logistics Department. They will communicate with the drivers and customers to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and in good condition. They will collaborate with other departments to efficiently fulfill customer orders for shipment.

The Logistics Administrator will work during the afternoon and evening hours.

The starting pay for this role is $18.00/hour

What will you do in this role

• Prints the Bill of Lading and prepares packets for deliveries attaching the final line-up sheet with the corresponding loads for deliveries and any other related paperwork that the driver may need.
• Adheres to established procedures for bills of lading shipments proof of deliveries UPS and any other related BOLs.
• Works closely with the accounting department as necessary for collections and payments.
• Communicates with drivers to provide them with route instructions delivery instructions and other relevant information.
• Administers software tracking system to ensure the efficiency of deliveries productivity and safety of drivers and timely invoicing for customers.
• Collaborates with other departments such as Sales Order Pulling Inventory and Planning to ensure effective order fulfillment for our customers.
• Works with the Inventory Control team on any quantity exceptions noted.
• May maintain all Fleet and Driver regulatory files: Driver Qualification files (DQ) fleet maintenance and repair files.
• May assist in monitoring attendance and time for all drivers ensuring that drivers comply with all applicable regulations and safety requirements.
• May assist in ordering office supplies timely to ensure stock is maintained without shortage
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Functional knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
• Capability to communicate efficiently with all levels of employees management customers and vendors both verbally and in written form.
• Capacity to multi-task with speed and accuracy while prioritizing tasks and ability to maintain excellent organizational skills.
• Use of proper PPE and company-approved tools while remaining aware of possible hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic math interpersonal/team and reasoning skills
• Ability to read understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
• Flexibility in scheduling able to work overtime as needed.

Above and Beyond Qualifications

• Three to five years experience in traffic office management or related area
• Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment preferably in logistics.
• Prior experience using systems such as Omnitracs.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
