Compensation:In accordance with California law the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
About the Program:
- Mental Health Services: Services range from Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) services to Full Service Partnership (FSP). Services include individual family and group therapy; play therapy; therapeutic rehabilitation services; targeted case management; psychiatric assessment and medication management support services; and parent education and partnering.
Role Summary:Responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to ensure quality client care. Ensure documentation adheres to DMH standards. Participate in an interdisciplinary team to provide a healthy therapeutic and safe environment for clients.
- Schedule:Monday-Friday 10:00am- 7:00pm with a flex Friday off 10:00am-6:00pm

(This position is community-based and requires working with clients in the field. Services Planning Area (SPA) 4 - LA Metro Area)
This Therapist II position will provide services to community-based services to our FSP and HSSP clients.
Incentive: This position is eligible for an incentive of $1500 paid after 3 months of continuous employment and a retention incentive of $1500 after 12 months of continuous employment.
Clinical Supervision is provided with ability to earn all clinical hours towards licensure
This position does qualify towards Public Student Loan Forgiveness as a non-profit organization
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual family play and group therapy for designated caseload of clients.
- Conduct psycho-social assessments and treatment planning utilize DSM for diagnosing
- Document client services in accordance with Department of Mental Health standards and Department of Children and Family Services
- Conduct visits to homes schools and or other service locations in the community in order to help client achieve their treatment plan goals
- Interface with Department of Children and Family Services Department of Mental Health court systems schools law enforcement health care providers and other community liaisons.
- Sees FSP and HSSP clients 1-2 times a week or more as needed
- Acts as Individual Rehabilitation Specialist on treatment teams as needed
- Attends monthly Impact meetings and presents cases for consultation when required
- Completes additional required outcome measures as outlined in program contract
- Collaborates with LPS designee to coordinate crisis response and placement should a psychiatric hold be required
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Social Work Psychology or Counseling is required
- Ability to be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences is required
- Experience in In-Home Services or work with highrisk children adolescents and their families required
- Strong clinical skills in individual family play and group therapy are required
- Good oral written and organizational skills are required
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Drivers License and a driving record acceptable to the agencys insurance carrier.
- Bilingual and bicultural skills in Spanish required
