Job Description

Position Summary
UNC Police is seeking to hire qualified individuals as sworn Reserve Police Officers to serve in a part-time capacity. The Reserve Police Officer positions will be required to work a minimum of three (3) home football games four (4) home basketball games and two (2) additional events such as plays concerts lectures and celebrations. The Reserve Officers do not work on patrol squads and do not assist with patrol shift coverage. The Reserve Police Officers are uniformed police positions and must adhere to the Departments General Orders (G.O.). All uniforms duty belts and appropriate departmentally issued duty gear are provided; the applicant must provide their own shoes in accordance with G.O. These are at-will intermittent temporary positions.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Current certification as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Law enforcement experience.

Work Schedule
Varies based on event or need.
