Job Description

Locum Pediatric Physician Opportunity in Pendleton OR

Summary: Join a dedicated team at a community-oriented facility in Pendleton Oregon seeking 1-2 Pediatric physicians. This role offers 24-hour call coverage primarily focusing on newborn and pediatric care. Candidates must feel comfortable in high-pressure situations and demonstrate competency in neonatal resuscitation and related practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/7 on-call coverage for newborns and pediatric patients.
  • Conduct daily rounding (1-4 hours) and serve as the primary care provider for newborn and pediatric patients.
  • Manage admissions from the Emergency Department and medical consultations.
  • Stabilize and prepare patients for transfer as needed.
  • Perform procedures such as intubation emergency medication administration and laceration repairs.
  • Work as a solo provider with no backup coverage ensuring independence in patient care.
  • Document and review each case to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with significant Pediatric and Neonatal experience.
  • Completed a 3-year Pediatric Residency program.
  • Current PALS and NRP certifications.
  • Demonstrated provider experience in inpatient care within the last 24 months.
  • Clean malpractice and background history preferred.
  • Local candidates are highly preferred; no travel arrangements required.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active OR State License is required.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are necessary.
  • DEA certification must be valid.
