About the role:
Join Baird Trust Company (BTC) as a key contributor to our Portfolio Management this role you will support client service initiatives assist with portfolio management and trading activities conduct performance and data analysis and actively participate in the BTC Investment Committee.
This position is based in our downtown Louisville KY office and offers a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week in office and 1 day remote.
The Impact Youll Make:
Serve as sales contact for BTCs Custom Portfolio Management (CPM) and SMA strategies offered through the Baird SMA Network.
Support Portfolio Managers in managing existing client relationships and portfolios.
Learn the intricacies of portfolio management within a trust company environment.
Coordinate with Trust Administration in managing existing client relationships and portfolios.
Support BTC trading functions equity and fixed income for Trust Company client accounts (Bundled Trust and CPM).
Review accuracy of BTC client investment reviews used to share the investment / performance information during client meetings.
Support BTC investment strategies by providing data analysis through use of third party applications.
Consistently maintains proper internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures all applicable SEC IRS Federal and State laws and regulations.
Maintains a complete knowledge of and comply with all company and departmental policies procedures and service standards.
Assists the senior staff in the development of strategic objectives philosophies mission strategies and tactics.
Manages relationships with third party vendors.
What Youll Bring to Baird:
Knowledge of asset allocation equity and fixed income markets.
Statistical methods and concepts and other analytical financial tools particularly as relate to investment performance.
Preparing and delivering clear effective and professional presentations.
Use of appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all organizational levels.
Providing appropriate recommendations for resolution of complex financial issues.
Interpreting and applying state and federal statues and applicable tax rules and regulations.
Advanced problem solving sufficient to effectively analyze research and resolve inquiries in a timely manner.
Review and analyze report information while using critical thinking skills to evaluate the data for regulatory compliance.
Organize manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Learn train and adapt to technology used to support the investment processes within BTC.
Work ethically and with integrity including maintaining personnel and firm confidentiality.
Education:
Four (4) year degree in Business Economics Accounting or Finance (Masters of Finance or MBA preferred).
Licenses/Certifications:
MBA / CFA / CFP preferred.
FINRA Series 7 Required or ability to obtain.
FINRA Series 63 65 or 66 required or ability to obtain.
