Skaalen Retirement Services in Stoughton Wisconsin is seeking a compassionate and skilled contract beautician or hair stylist to provide professional hair care services to our cherished residents. Help us bring the joy and confidence that comes with a fresh look directly to our residents doorstep.
About the Opportunity:

- Flexible Schedule:Work independently and set your own hours and rates tailoring your availability to best suit your needs and our residents preferences.
- Supportive Environment:Collaborate with our dedicated staff to ensure a comfortable and accessible experience for all residents including those with varying mobility and health needs.
- Full-Service Potential:Offer a range of services from haircuts and styling to perms color treatments and beard trims as well as manicures and pedicures depending on your skillset and residents needs.
Requirements for the Lessee/Contracted Personnel (Cosmetologist Leasing the Chair/Booth):
- Establishment License:The cosmetologist leasing the chair must hold a valid Wisconsinestablishment licenseaccording to Wisconsin state regulations. This is in addition to their individual cosmetology license.
- Written Lease Agreement:A written lease agreement between the owner and the lessee is required.
- Compliance with Regulations:The lessee is responsible for ensuring that the leased space operates in compliance with Wisconsin state statutes (ch. 454 Stats.) and the rules of theWisconsin Cosmetology Examining Board. In addition the lessee or contracted personnel would have adhere to the Department of Health and CMS regulations required by the nursing home which includes completing a background check.
- Individual Cosmetology License:The lessee must also hold a valid individual cosmetology license.
- Liability Insurance:The salon space is provided free of charge and select basic materials are already available on-site for your use.
Requirements for the Owner:
- Written Lease Agreement:The owner must have a written lease agreement with the lessee.
- Compliance with Regulations:The owner must also ensure the entire establishment operates in compliance with Wisconsin state laws and board rules.
- Establishment License:The owner must hold a valid Wisconsin establishment license.
- Cosmetology Manager:The owner must employ a cosmetology manager (who may or may not be the owner).

- Color Treatments (Temporary or Permanent)

- Beard/Moustache Trims
- Manicures and Pedicures
- Light Massages
