Job Summary
Are you a thoughtful and self-driven programmer looking to build meaningful software
Are you someone who enjoys writing clean maintainable code and wants to shape the future of learning through technology
Were building a fully typed NextJS/React learning platform backed by Postgres and were looking for a programmer to help us do it thoughtfully collaboratively and with purpose.
Were building a digital learning platform designed to serve educators and learners with simplicity clarity and functionality.
As part of our small team youll write and review code help plan features and influence architectural decisions as we scale. Youll have space to work independently while also contributing to collaborative processes like feedback and planning. We will help you grow: learnto turn theory into practice; to go beyond challenges and practice problems to building robust and maintainable software that people can depend on.
Your responsibilities
Build Features & Architecture
- Write clean well-structured code using TypeScript React and SQL
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term planning
- Help us balance performance accessibility and maintainability
Collaborate Thoughtfully
- Review code and give helpful constructive feedback
- Work with others to break complex features into simpler tasks
- Join conversations about strategy and technical direction
Grow with the Project
- Contribute ideas to product design UI/UX and workflows
- Ask thoughtful questions offer insights and keep learning
Job Details
- Central European Time Zone
- This is a 6 month student internship. We will need an agreement with your educational institution.
- Its not required but it would be nice if you are close enough to Warsaw that we can meet in-person from time to time.
Your experience
Required Literacy & Competency
Were looking for someone whos familiar with the fundamentals and can learn and adapt:
- Proficient in English and comfortable communicating asynchronously
- Has basic understanding of version control with Git
- Can write semantic accessible HTML
- Understands how to structure layouts with CSS especially using Flexbox & Grid
- Has written JavaScript outside of frameworks or helper libraries
- Understands relational databases and SQL basics. how to structure data within them and how to fetch data from them.
- Can write code without relying on AI to produce working maintainable results
Optional skills
If you already have experience with any of the following thats a plusbut were happy to help you learn them on the job:
- TypeScript and strong typing practices
- Code reviews or mentoring peers
- Building or maintaining large complex projects
- Programming in other languages (beyond JavaScript)
- Strong visual and interaction design sensibilities
- Experience with front-end frameworks like React Svelte or Vue
- Experience using a CSS framework (like Tailwind)
- Comfort with command-line tools and Unix-like environments
