Description

Summary: Assist in managing the daily operations of the day training program. Provide regularly scheduled activities in a non-residential setting that are designed to foster the acquisition of skills build positive social behavior and interpersonal competence foster greater independence and personal choice as part of the person centered team. Career planning or pre-vocational activities to develop learning opportunities and career options based on the individuals interests and skill set.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Other related duties may be assigned.

  • Assist Team Members in performing their work and facilitate the Team Members active engagement in his/her assigned duties. Assist in training Team Members to perform work and to set-up work areas; provide assistance to Team Member as needed to perform work correctly. Assist manager with documenting incident reports and managing behavioral issues of Team Members.
  • Facilitate skill development to communicate effectively with supervisors co-workers and customers.
  • Model and coach to encourage generally accepted community or workplace conduct and dress.
  • Complete all Medicaid required documentation including daily notes and monthly summaries per the regulation requirements. Maintain all other Zoom Group required documents and training requirements.
  • If required provide physical care and assistance to Team Members in performing daily life activities. Administers medication to Team Members when applicable.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment for Team Members discuss general workplace safety.
  • Active training in workplace/program problem solving skills and strategies.
  • Active training in acquiring skills to follow directions complete or attend to tasks and mobility training if applicable.
  • Staff assigned to Floater position will work assigned area as scheduled and based on customer needs.
  • Staff assigned to Floater position may be required to work in other day training locations outside of commercial operations.

Communication - Speaks clearly; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in person centered meetings. Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; Able to read and interpret written information.

Planning/Organizing Uses time efficiently; organizes other people and their tasks;

Adaptability - Manages competing demands; Able to deal with frequent change delays or unexpected events.

Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; and Supports organizations goals and values.

Qualifications

Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Education/Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one years related experience or training. Prior experience working with developmentally challenged adult population a plus. Equivalent combination of education training skills and experience may be considered.

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compare rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Skills Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

Licenses/Certifications First Aid and CPR certifications.

Computer Skills Requires knowledge of Internet Explorer email; Inventory software: THERAP and Microsoft Excel and Word.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision and depth perception.
