Location: Grandview YMCA Millbrook AL 36054
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Before/After School Counselor to join our team in Millbrook AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and engaging with students before and after school hours providing a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and play.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise students before and after school hours
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities and games
- Assist students with homework and provide academic support
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
Skills:
- Previous experience working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience and a positive attitude
- Basic knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques
