About the role:

The Maintenance Technician will diagnose inspect service and perform breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance of Production facilities and farm machinery as well as performing scheduled maintenance services such as lubrications engine tune-ups and oil changes. This is a key support role to machinery and equipment is operating efficiently and safely to minimise downtime. You will ensure equipment service history records are kept up to date and assist to maintain a tidy and well organised work environment.

Key operational accountabilities include:

  • Performing preventative maintenance on farm machinery and production equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
  • Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
  • React quickly to breakdowns communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the manager.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Qualifications and/or employment background with demonstrated mechanical and ideally agricultural maintenance skills and knowledge.
  • Previous experience in processing welding and/or fabrication would be advantageous.
  • Current Drivers License.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
  • Team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds.
  • Awareness and ability to adhere to WHS requirements
  • Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets
