We are seeking a skilled Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) Technician to join our team in Ellabell GA. The FPI Technician will be responsible for performing inspections using liquid penetrant testing methods to detect surface defects in materials components and assemblies. This role ensures compliance with customer specifications industry standards and company quality requirements. Must be local or willing to relocate.
Major Responsibilities:
- Perform fluorescent penetrant inspections (FPI) on metallic and non-metallic components to identify cracks porosity or other discontinuities.
- Prepare and process parts through cleaning penetrant application dwell removal and developer stages in accordance with established procedures.
- Interpret and evaluate inspection results against acceptance criteria and specifications.
- Document results accurately maintaining inspection logs reports and traceability records.
- Calibrate maintain and operate FPI equipment in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Support audits corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with engineering production and quality teams to address nonconformances.
- Adhere to all safety regulations company policies and industry standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in NDT methods preferred.
- Previous experience as an NDT FPI Technician in aerospace defense or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of NADCAP AS9100 ASTM or other applicable standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Physical ability to work in an industrial environment (standing lifting etc.).
- Preferred Certifications
- NAS410 or equivalent Level I/II FPI certification.
- Experience with FPI inspection in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments.
