Job Description

At Acelero Learning Delaware were transforming early childhood educationand strong leadership at every center is the key to our success. Were looking for a dedicated Center Director to lead the daily operations of one of our Head Start centers ensuring excellence in teaching learning family partnerships and staff support.

What Youll Do

As a Center Director you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the center ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards state licensing and organizational policies.

  • Supervise coach and support teaching and support staff to foster high-quality learning environments.

  • Build strong relationships with families encouraging engagement and collaboration in their childs education.

  • Monitor classroom quality curriculum implementation and child outcomes to ensure school readiness.

  • Manage budgets staffing and resources to keep the center running smoothly and efficiently.

  • Foster a positive inclusive and mission-driven center culture for staff families and children.

  • Collaborate with regional and organizational leadership to ensure alignment with Aceleros mission and goals.

Who You Are

Were looking for someone who is:

  • A strong and inspiring leader with a passion for early childhood education.

  • Skilled at coaching developing and motivating staff.

  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Collaborative and relationship-driven able to partner with families staff and community stakeholders.

  • Reflective and growth-minded focused on continuous improvement.

  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 6 courses in early childhood education and experience teaching preschool aged children. (Masters preferred).

  • Experience in early childhood program management or leadership required.

  • Supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams.

  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and state licensing requirements preferred.

  • Pass a physical exam and background check.

  • Valid drivers license or reliable transportation required.
