At Acelero Learning Delaware we believe good nutrition is the foundation for great learning. As an Assistant Cook youll play a critical role in ensuring children receive healthy meals every day in a clean safe and welcoming environment.
What Youll Do
As an Assistant Cook you will:
Support the preparation and serving of nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with USDA guidelines.
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen space and food service equipment.
Follow menus and portioning guidelines to ensure consistency and health standards.
Assist with receiving storing and inventorying food and supplies.
Promote a joyful mealtime environment that models healthy habits.
In addition to preparing and serving nutritious meals this role includes responsibility for transporting food safely between centers (from one center to another). This ensures meals are delivered in compliance with food safety standards and available for children and staff at multiple locations.
Who You Are
Were looking for someone who is:
Passionate about food and child well-being.
Reliable and detail-oriented with strong time management.
Able to follow food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures.
Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus!
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Pass a physical exam and background check.
Valid drivers license or reliable transportation required.
