Location: Flexible Home and service-based supporting three hubs across the Northwest and Yorkshire
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time (minimum 3 days negotiable)
Salary: 165000 - 200000 FTE pro-rata for part-time

At RGH-Global we are excited to partner with a leading organisation in the North of England dedicated to supporting young people aged 1630 with complex mental health needs. Our client provides specialist trauma-informed mental health services bridging the gap between hospital care and independent living. They are seeking a skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to deliver high-quality psychiatric care and contribute to their mission of empowering young people to thrive.
This is a unique opportunity to lead multidisciplinary care provide expert consultation and shape innovative mental health services in a supportive values-driven environment. Youll work collaboratively with clinical and residential teams local authorities and the NHS to ensure exceptional integrated care.
What Youll Do:
- Lead monthly multidisciplinary reviews for young people in residential settings acting as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act (2007) including medication management risk assessments and Mental Capacity Act reviews.
- Provide psychiatric consultation and advice to clinical and residential teams.
- Liaise with professionals attend key meetings and contribute to referral reviews and assessments.
- Support training service development and clinical governance initiatives.
- Promote the organisations reputation as a quality service provider.
- Maintain confidentiality adhere to infection prevention protocols and follow health and safety guidelines.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours clinical advice in rare circumstances.
What Youll Bring:
- Full registration as a Medical Practitioner with membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent).
- Eligibility for the GMC Specialist Register and approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act (1983) or current Approved Clinician status.
- Experience working with Complex PTSD or Personality Disorders in community or inpatient settings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes and the ability to travel across sites in the Northwest and Yorkshire.
- Desirable: Knowledge or training in systemic models attachment disorders or neurodevelopmental assessments.
