About AAFS:The Autism Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary (AAFS) is a vibrant community organization that provides social and recreational programs for individuals with autism or who identify as being on the spectrum. We are located on Treaty 7 territory (Mohkinstsis/Calgary) and create spaces where everyone belongs.
Position Overview:- Facilitate social and recreational activities in our various programs (AAFSter School LAAFS Adult and Summer programs etc.).
- Create safe spaces for social exploration and relationship building.
- Contribute to program planning and development.
- Support participants in developing social thinking and life skills.
- Ultimately we want you to experience the fun along with our members.
- Personal or professional experience with neurodiversity (lived experience is valued)
- Passion for creating inclusive spaces and building community.
- The ability to adjust communication styles to meet different needs.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and growth.

- Must be 18 years old.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta drivers licence with a clean record
- Preference is given to those with 3 years of uninterrupted vehicle insurance and no at-fault accidents.
- Currently enrolled in a human service course or degree stream; this role is ideal for your work experience!
- Clean Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Intervention Record Check.
All offers are contingent on providing a clean Police Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and a clear Intervention Record Check (2 documents).
