Description

Northern Manufacturing a worldwide leader in stainless steel fabrication is seeking an experienced press brake operator to join our team on second shift! Second shift hours are 3:30pm to 1:00am for a 45-hour workweek.


Responsibilities:

  • Program machines
  • Prepare and run complex bend setups
  • Review blueprints and gain a full understanding of geometric tolerances
  • Ensure work order specifications and priority are followed
  • Inspect finished product for quality and compliance to customer specifications
  • Change dies on necessary press brakes
  • Troubleshoots machine for problems and makes proper adjustments
  • Load and unload material from machine
  • Organize finished components and compile on skid for next operation
  • Operate forklift crane and other equipment in a safe manner
  • Follow company policies and maintain a clean and safe work area

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to stand walk climb ladders and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing/fabrication facility experience preferred.
  • Previous experience running a press brake or similar machine preferred.
  • Set up and programming experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or within a collaborative environment.
  • Strong team member supporting coworkers within all departments.
