Job Description

General Description of DutiesUnder the direct supervision of the building principal/superintendent the purpose of theposition is to perform school-based duties associated with the school office secretarialfunctions and provide support to the building level principal. Employees in this positionmust function at an experienced secretarial level with superior technology skills. Theemployee will be responsible for the preparation of correspondence answering thephone receptionists duties directing phone calls compiling reports and all mattersrelated to the functioning of the elementary school building Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for all technology duties associated with the school office; Enters retrieves reviews or modifies data as specified by the building principal; Responsible for printing all reports requested by the building principal; Responsible for using word processing database and other software programs; Organizes and processes the distribution of mail for the elementary principal; Inventories and assists in ordering office supplies and school supplies; Responsible for processing all purchase orders for the school; Prepares memos correspondence reports and documents using the computer; Checks in supplies and purchase order information; Establishes and maintains student files; Coordinates withdrawal process for students; Maintains permanent record information; Processes progress reports homework requests and report cards; Communicates information to the faculty and principal; Communicates between the school and central office; Prepares all mailings; Responsible for Professional Development record keeping; Coordinate registrations; Organize student lists for transportation; Responsible for screening all visitors that enter or leave the building; Calculate monthly enrollment weekly cover sheets time cards and memos; Coordinate professional development activities for certified and non-certified bymaintaining a database; Responsible for the collection of monies for the building; Responsible for reconciling the monies with receipts where required; Performs any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the buildinglevel principal/superintendent.
