A Day in the Life
Join Medtronics Global Operations and Supply Chain Controllership team in a temporary capacity to support high-visibility financial reporting and compliance initiatives. This contract role is ideal for professionals looking to contribute immediately to global operations while gaining exposure to a dynamic finance environment.This is a temporary position expected to last approximately 1 year with the possibility of extension based on business needs. The role is hybrid based in the Heerlen location allowing for a blend of on-site and remote work and does not require any travel.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Support monthly quarterly and annual financial close processes for global entities ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- Prepare and analyze financial statements identifying trends and variances for management insight
- Assist with external reporting support and audit documentation
- Contribute to the implementation of accounting policies and internal controls
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Provide timely financial analysis and KPI reporting to senior leadership
- Collaborate with business partners to support forecasting and planning activities
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelors degree with 4 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting (or Advanced Degree with 2 years)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
