We are seeking a friendly proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role will provide hands-on support for local and remote employees assist in upgrading and maintaining workstations perform hardware replacements and support day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation good communication skills and a willingness to assist with both routine and more complex support tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for desktops laptops peripherals and software.
- Upgrade Windows from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
- Perform hardware replacements and upgrades including RAM keyboards displays etc.
- User account maintenance via Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot user issues with accessing external websites and systems.
- Assist with setup relocation and IT equipment including monitors computers.
- Document issues resolutions and IT procedures in a clear and organized manner.
- Set up and maintain clean organized and fully functional workstations (monitor(s) docking station cabling peripherals etc.) for new and existing users.
- Monitor and track IT inventory and supplies (keyboards mice cables adapters toner etc.) to help ensure availability and avoid shortages.
Requirements:
- Experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 Microsoft Office and PC hardware.
- Experience with account administration via Active Directory.
- Ability to diagnose and repair common hardware issues on laptops and desktops.
- Experience with networked printers and multifunction devices including setup troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with physical office/IT equipment moves.
- Basic understanding of the OSI model.
