Job Description
We are seeking an Ink maker/Ink Tech to work with us Friday Saturday and Sunday days from 5am-5:30pm. We have a very competitive starting pay plus a shift differential when applicable. The person in this role will specialize in the manufacturing of high-quality printing ink. As an Ink Maker/Ink Tech you will be responsible for:
- Following batch instructions to weight batches charge and mix inks
- Understanding proper mixing procedures and raw materials
- Monitoring temperature and mix speeds and adjust as needed
- Following procedures for milling inks adjusting pump speeds and mill rates
- Following procedures to filter package and label inks
- Making QC adjustments as instructed
- Weighing quantities of raw materials
- Operating one or more mixers in a safe and efficient manner
- Packaging finished product
- Operating a forklift
Qualifications :
To perform your job as expected you will be required to:
- Have a High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Have previous manufacturing experience of at least 6 months
- Have Fork lift experience
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Have basic math communications and mechanical logic skills
- Be capable to complete multiple tasks
- Demonstrate good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Office) programs.
In addition to these qualifications we will consider as a plus if you have:
- Understanding of 5S workplace
- Knowledge of TPM
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work overtime weekends
