About this Position: Position/Specialty: Phlebotomist Shift: 5x8s : 0700-1600P Weekend REQ: EOW Is on-call REQ NO Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs will float inpatient to outpatient Floating Req to Sister Facilities: possible to float to like units Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 year required First-timers accepted: NO Certifications REQ: Need to be certified by the ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathology); BLS Required Experience REQ: Rainbow draws and what each top means POC Testing Finger Stick/Heel sticks/ Aseptic Technique Exp highly preferred: peds exp preferred Radiation Badge REQ: NO Misc.: Radius rule Yes 60 miles. Are locals accepted Yes on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager/units needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights: Type of Facility: Teaching Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma: Magnet Teaching and Level 1 Trauma Total Staffed Beds: 865 Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Nights and weekends cost only. One-time payment of $20 for a parking pass. Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
