UNIT DETAILS: Therapist will need to be skilled to work in a Level 3 NICU independently. They will need to feel comfortable attending c-sections and high risk deliveries and identifying the babies need with APGAR scores given this includes different modalities of oxygen using surfactant drawing cap gases and from a UAC placing initial ventilator settings in for a baby and able to start and navigate the oscillator when needed. Also competent in resuscitating a baby post delivery if needed. Be able to be a critical thinker and comfortable with their critical skills to be able to take care of some of our smallest patients while able to work independently in the NICU. WEEKEND: Every Other CALL: None FLOATING: Within facility/scope of practice as needed MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit does not accept first time travelers CLINICAL SCREEN: Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis. RTO: MAX 7 days HOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
