Position Overview
The Managing Director HR Business Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives leads two critical areas within the Human Resources function:
- HR Business Partnerships - Oversee a team of dedicated HR Business Partners aligned with RFs internal departments serving as trusted advisors to senior leaders and driving strategic people solutions that enable organizational performance and culture.
- HR Project Management - Lead the execution of HRs strategic initiatives by ensuring projects are well-scoped resourced and delivered on time and with measurable impact.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer the Managing Director will work in close partnership with HR leadership senior executives and cross-functional teams to ensure people strategies are aligned with RFs mission values and business priorities. This is a highly visible leadership role accountable for advancing both operational excellence and strategic impact across the HR function.
Pay Range: $211300 - $244200. This represents the present low and high ends of the Foundations pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience.
Work Schedule:This role is on a hybrid work schedule and required to be in the office on Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partner Leadership
- Lead coach and develop the HR Business Partner team to provide proactive strategic and solutions-focused HR support to assigned departments.
- Partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with business objectives organizational priorities and cultural goals.
- Oversee workforce planning organizational design and change management initiatives within client groups.
- Provide thought partnership on leadership development succession planning talent reviews and organizational effectiveness.
- Ensure a consistent and equitable application of HR policies and practices across the organization.
HR Project Management & Execution
- Establish and lead a centralized HR project management function ensuring initiatives are effectively prioritized tracked and delivered with clear success metrics.
- Partner with HR leadership to translate strategy into actionable project plans including timelines resourcing and budget considerations.
- Develop and maintain project governance processes ensuring clear ownership accountability and communication for all initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the progress of key HR projects to the Chief People Officer and other stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve execution across HR programs and systems.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a key member of the HR leadership team contributing to the overall strategy culture and performance of the department.
- Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization fostering trust collaboration and transparency.
- Champion equity inclusion and belonging in all people practices and decision-making.
- Represent HR in cross-foundation initiatives and special projects as assigned by the Chief People Officer.
Education Experience and Skills
- 12 years of progressive HR experience including significant time in HR Business Partner and/or organizational effectiveness roles with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading HR Business Partner teams in complex mission-driven organizations.
- Proven experience in HR project or program management including establishing governance structures and delivering complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate organizational strategy into actionable people plans.
- Expertise in organizational design change management workforce planning and talent management.
- Knowledgeable of applicable laws and regulations.
- Exceptional relationship-building influencing and communication skills including experience advising executives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
