Job Summary:
This role is for an X-Ray Technologist working the night shift (3 twelve-hour shifts per week including weekends and holidays with on-call responsibilities). The technologist will perform a variety of x-ray procedures in an acute care hospital setting requiring experience in various body regions and utilizing different equipment. A minimum of one year of experience is required and first-time applicants are accepted.
Location: Springfield Illinois United States
Responsibilities:
- Performing various X-ray procedures including abdomen chest head extremities spine and mobile/surgical X-rays.
- Utilizing equipment such as the O-ARM and C-arm.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Responding to on-call requests as needed.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum one year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist (first-timers accepted).
- ARRT certification.
- BLS certification.
- Active Illinois state license.
- Experience in Adult Acute Care Adult Outpatient ER ICU NICU and Operating Room settings.
- Proficiency in various X-ray techniques (Abdomen Chest Head Extremities Spine Mobile/Surgical).
- Experience with O-ARM equipment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Cerner experience.
- Level I Trauma experience.
Special Considerations:
- Third shift (nights) 3 twelve-hour shifts per week including weekends and holidays.
- On-call responsibilities required.
- No floating to other areas within the facility.
- Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
- Up to 36 hours of call-offs permitted per thirteen-week assignment without pay; additional call-offs will be billed. On-call shifts in lieu of call-offs count as called-off shifts.
- RTO restrictions: ideally no more than 5 days.
- Requires parking permit (provided at orientation).
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week.
- Weekends and holidays required.
- On-call responsibilities required.
- Schedule flexibility may be discussed with the manager.
