Job Description
This Medical Assistant position is a temporary role with the potential for permanent placement requiring local candidates within a 50-mile radius. The MA will provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient cardiology clinic utilizing the Epic electronic health record system. Experience in healthcare healthcare terminology and Epic is mandatory.
- Obtaining patient vital signs and medical history.
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Administering medications as directed.
- Performing electrocardiograms (ECGs).
- Charting patient information in Epic.
- Managing patient scheduling and communication.
- Sterilizing and maintaining medical equipment.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in healthcare healthcare terminology and Epic.
- Reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent (implied).
- Experience with adult outpatient clinics.
- Local candidates preferred (within 50-mile radius).
- Must have own reliable transportation.
- On-call is not required.
- Weekend work is not required.
- RTO restrictions to be confirmed with the hiring manager.
