Job Summary:
This Registered Nurse position is in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) within a tertiary care hospital. The RN will provide specialized care to adult acute care patients requiring advanced monitoring and treatment including airway management BIPAP support and management of arterial and central lines. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care including assessments medication administration and treatment planning.
- Monitoring patients with continuous pulse oximetry and telemetry.
- Managing patients requiring airway management BIPAP support arterial lines central lines and titrated IV infusions.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adapting quickly to changing patient needs and providing compassionate care.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (Epic).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
- Minimum of two years of hospital experience (preferred based on provided description).
- Proficiency in clinical assessment medication administration and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field.
Special Considerations:
- 3x12-hour night shifts.
- Weekend rotation required.
- Must live within 75 miles of the hospital.
- 26-bed IMCU.
- Experience in critical care or step-down units is highly beneficial.
Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week.
- Weekend rotation is mandatory. Specific shift assignments will be determined by the hospital.
