Job Description
Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and student empowerment Lehigh University seeks a dynamic Manager Design Labs to lead our state-of-the-art Additive Manufacturing Lab and MakerSpace in the historic Wilbur Powerhouse.
Position Number: S80012
This position is a Grade: 9 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $55200 - $67180 and is subject to change based on experience skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage comprehensive operations equipment and budgets for Additive Manufacturing Lab and MakerSpace
Support students faculty and staff in design thinking prototyping and fabrication processes
Develop lead and mentor student Tech Fellows program
Ensure safety protocols and maintain tools and inventory management
Coordinate with Mountaintop 3D print resources and manage 3DPrinterOS systems
Support curriculum development and FYRE program initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related degree; Masters Degree preferred
Three to five years of related work experience
Expertise in Additive Manufacturing running Direct Metal Printers Laser Cutters and CNC Equipment is a must
Strong knowledge of 3D printing technologies and digital fabrication tools
Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
