Job Description
Visa Technology & Operations LLC a Visa Inc. company needs a Senior Data Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City CA to:
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture for validating and certifying payment workflows.
- Assemble large complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data automation pipeline to provide actionable insights into payment workflow efficiency and key quality assurance metrics.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify document plan contingency track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
- Present technical solutions capabilities considerations and features in business terms.
- Effectively communicate status issues and risks in a precise and timely manner.
- Partner with Product on implementation and testing strategies.
- Work on building and maintaining data integration automation framework for B2B Connect Network.
- Work with team to partner and drive the strategies involving data and service integration with large financial institutions for competitive rate analysis and settlement data.
- Build and maintain data streaming automation framework to support B2B Connect growth.
- Analyze input Data elements across multiple sources and build Data lineage for the Liquidity Management System.
- Contribute to project planning discussions provide status updates for development progress and be a critical resource for issue resolution.
- Position reports to the Foster City California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- Employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Computer Information Systems Management Information Systems Data Science Cybersecurity or related field.
- Position requires experience in the following skills through academic coursework and/or work experience:
- Computer science algorithms fundamentals;
- Experience in at least two of the following programming languages: Java Go Scala Python and/or JavaScript;
- Working in Unix or Linux environments Open source technologies and client-server apps;
- Working with multiple database models such as Relational DBMS Document Columnar and Key-Value data stores;
- Working with big data and messaging platforms: Kafka Flink Spark Hadoop and RabbitMQ;
- Writing code in multiple programming language paradigms such as Object-Oriented and Functional Programming Languages; and
- Quality assurance processes and methodologies with a quality-first attitude.

Worksite: Foster City CA
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $143790.00 to $200500.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
