Barista

As a Barista at Fairmont Hotels you will be an ambassador of the exceptional service and quality that is the hallmark of our coffee experience. Your passion for coffee attention to detail and ability to create a welcoming environment will contribute to memorable guest moments and support the overall guest experience in our outlets.

Rate of Pay: $19.47/hour

Job Duties Include:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea in accordance with Fairmont standards.
• Provide friendly attentive and personalized service to all guests ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation including the espresso machine grinders and service areas.
• Stay informed about the hotels current menu and seasonal updates to provide accurate and helpful recommendations to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests addressing any special dietary requirements preferences or concerns.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience as a barista in a luxury hotel caf or high-end food & beverage outlet preferred.
• Knowledge of specialty coffee espresso machines and brewing techniques.
• Alberta ProServe Certificate required.
• Ability to constantly stand and walk throughout shift

You may be required to work on holidays weekends overnights and other non-day shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you are able to meet these requirements as needed.
