Youll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team made up of a Service Delivery Manager Product Owner Senior Technical Analysts and Technical Analysts. Were a 12-strong group that also includes our ServiceNow and Office Productivity teamsbringing together a mix of experienced professionals new talent apprentices and recently promoted colleagues.
We work in an Agile environment delivering new functionality driving continuous improvement and providing 3rd-line BAU support for critical services.
You will be the Subject Matter Expert in Okta administration and configuration or similar IDAM SaaS platform. Ideally they will understand and apply core Identity and Access Management concepts and processes such as employee lifecycle (User Provisioning / Joiner Leaver Mover processes / RBACs). Knowledge of integrations through Okta apps and APIs with other systems such as ERP AD / AAD would be an advantage.
You must be proactive at developing the capabilities of the Okta platform and drive the adoption of the services whilst also providing technical support to customers. They should also be prepared to actively contribute to the ongoing development of the IDAM team.
Responsibilities will include:
Experience administering configuring and developing Okta or similar IDAM SaaS platform
Deploying applications for SSO i.e. SAML OIDC etc.
O365 Federation
Custom SSO applications
Managing Security policies i.e. Identity providers Authentication policies
Okta user management i.e. Password resets/unlocking Okta User Profile configuration Groups and group rules
Okta Workflow configuration and management
Experience reviewing Okta system logs to support troubleshooting and user issues
Directory integrations i.e. AD AAD other IDAM solutions.
Working with Okta APIs
Contribute and participate in project work and platform changes
Retain a proactive awareness and knowledge across the Okta platform and wider IDAM landscape
Drive continuous improvement of the service including suggesting future improvements/products in the suite that could be of use
Monitor daily updates on Okta assess the impact on the service and provide communications to key stakeholders (Service Desk customers)
Maintain up to date skills and knowledge to be shared within the team
Multi-task and prioritise work effectively and escalate issues when appropriate
Build strong relationships with all other IT service delivery teams and professional peers in other organisations
Communicate the benefits and performance of the service to stakeholders
Work with the Product Owner / Manager to convert requirements into tasks and deliverables
Ensure the service complies with security requirements in conjunction with the data protection and security teams.
Ensure regular knowledge sharing and good communication within IT teams regarding the service
Contribute to client forums/meetings
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Service Roadmap
Provide documentation including operating procedures policies and processes for Okta / IDAM
To do this role well you will need:
Demonstrable experience in supporting Okta infrastructure or similar IDAM SaaS platform
Proven experience around general IDAM principles and processes
Previous experience of supporting a large user base of clients which may have differing needs or goals
Knowledge and experience of making recommendations and implementing improvements
Ability to multi-task and to prioritise effectively with an aptitude for knowing when issues need escalating
Stakeholder management experience at all levels within an organisation.
Educated to at least GCE A level SCE Higher grade (or equivalent qualifications) or proven comparable work experience

To be considered you will need to successfully obtain BPSS before commencing the role obtaining clearance usually takes 5-10 working days.
UKSBS does not hold a Home Office Sponsor Licence under the UK Immigration System therefore applicants must have eligibility to live and work in the UK at application stage.
Working pattern
This role is available on a Full Time basis working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week. Core hours are between 8:30 17:30.
In return for your skills and experience we offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Eligibility and the degree of home working will vary depending on the requirements of the role further details will be discussed if an offer is made.
