Job Description
Do you thrive in an international and challenging environment Carlsberg Danmark A/S is looking for an experienced lawyer to take up the position as Head of Legal and Compliance.
About the job
In your role as the Head of Legal and Compliance at Carlsberg Denmark you will lead a small legal team that delivers business-oriented and strategic legal guidance across the organization. You shall ensure that the business is effectively supported on all legal matters and that the legal organisation creates value is cost efficient stays compliant and contributes significantly to Carlsberg Denmarks accomplishing its objectives and to the mitigation of material risks.
You will become a trusted advisor and will work closely with other business functions and management. You will report to the Western European Head of Legal and Compliance situated in Copenhagen with a dotted reporting line to the CFO in Carlsberg Danmark.
You will be part of the Danish Finance Leadership team and the Danish cross function Chefgruppe. Further being part of the Group Legal and Compliance team you will also work closely together with your Nordic colleagues and with colleagues from the global legal organization in Carlsberg.
Your work will consist of a variety of different task including:
- Supervising and establishing the operational methods for the Danish Legal function.
- Management tasks.
- Hand on day-to-day legal advice.
- Ensuring implementation of the Group Legal Compliance agenda.
- Participation in strategic projects and decisions.
- Participation in various management meetings.
- Be a trusted advisor to Carlsberg Denmarks top management.
Your qualifications and experience
You are expected to be a generalist with broad professional experience primarily within contract law marketing law competition law and company law. The right candidate can face challenges in an international environment / matrix organization in transformation. We expect you to possess a solid business understanding thrive in a challenging environment and be solution oriented.
You will become part of an organization in constant development where the legal function has a central role in supporting the transition with focus on standardizing and optimizing the legal processes.
In addition to that we imagine that you:
- Hold a Master of Laws (LL.M.) or a comparable legal degree
- Have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience both in a law firm and in-house
- Have solid experience with contracts marketing law competition law and company law
- Have experience with legal compliance
- Have management experience
- Are a skilled communicator
- Have proficient legal drafting skills in English and are fluent in the language
- Are highly skilled in managing stakeholder interactions and adept at navigating cross-departmental projects
- Are proficient in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing appropriately
- Have an analytical proactive and commercial approach to legal issues with a focus on collaboration and delivering sound and balanced results
Limited international travel may be expected and flexible work conditions are offered.
