About the role:

Make a Difference Every Day Step Into Leadership as an Assistant House Supervisor

Are you passionate about creating a safe supportive and empowering environment for young people As an Assistant House Supervisor youll play a vital leadership role in shaping lives and supporting our dedicated team of Residential Care Workers. Youll take charge of the day-to-day care and wellbeing of the young people in our care stepping in when the House Supervisor is off shift or not present.

This isnt just a job its an opportunity to lead with purpose support young lives and grow your career in a dynamic and values-driven team. As part of the Out of Home Care Program youll work closely with the House Supervisor to ensure consistent high-quality care that truly makes a difference.

We have 2x Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week) opportunity based in Bendigo within our Out of Home Care program. The position reports to the House Supervisor.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
  • Relevant Diploma with substantial experience including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise lead and support a team of residential care workers.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field particularly within a therapeutic environment.
  • Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Proven skills and experience in development of behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.
