Summary
The Corporate Paralegal will assist the corporations legal department in many facets of corporate intellectual property multi-state cannabis laws and regulations and employment law. Much of the paralegals time will be spent carrying out routine tasks such as updating company files initial drafting of legal contracts reviewing documents and legal research projects. The corporate paralegal will assist in preparation of corporate minutes and resolutions and may be called on to assist with company compliance issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Typing proofreading and finalizing all outgoing correspondence to ensure legal requirements and timelines are met; apply knowledge of proper use of grammar and spelling to proofread and edit legal documents.

Assist with maintenance of corporate records including resolutions board of director changes annual reports etc.

Assist with maintenance of legal records including litigation real property insurance and securities files etc.

Manage and update executive regulatory filings.

Responsible for managing and tracking state-level entity filings and renewals.

Assist with projects related to corporate governance subsidiaries compliance corporate finance and development IP and other legal matters.

Assist in the preparation of various transactional documents and corporate governance documents.

Assist in the preparation of securities filings for the corporation and executives.

Liaise between the legal department and other internal departments governmental agencies and third-party businesses.

Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.

Research relevant statutes rulings and regulations and prepare related summaries and memos to be used as a basis for answering requests for internal legal tickets and company policies.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelors degree preferred business accounting or a related field; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal certification a plus.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully an individual should have an intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint. Candidates should be able to type 60 words-per-minute.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates Licenses Registrations
Must be able to obtain a Nevada State Cannabis Compliance Board Agent Card and be 21 years of age or older.
