Schedule: Day Shift 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. (with an every other weekend commitment)
Location: Wilmington DE
Department: Central Transport
Reports to: Sr. Manager EVS
Position Purpose:
St. Francis Hospital a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic is looking for an experienced Escort to join our Central Transport team!
What You Will Do:
- The escort/clerk position is responsible for the safe and courteous transport of patients and additional items such as IV poles and O2 tanks from Nursing Units to diagnostic/treatment areas.
- They must also return patients to the appropriate Nursing unit.
- The escort/clerk is also responsible for monitoring the integrity of wheelchairs and stretchers reporting any unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
- When not escorting patients this position functions as a this capacity the clerk is required to answer the phone utilize office equipment such as fax machines and copiers.
- The escort/clerk must also retrieve files and reports and re-file same.
- The clerk is expected to have a thorough understanding of theRadiology Information System and Radiology Imaging system.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Prior medical office work or escort experience preferred.
