Job Summary
**Department:** Foods Plant **Reports To:** Plant Manager and Supervisor **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **Job Type:** Part-Time
We are seeking a reliable detail-oriented Packing and Shipping Associate to handle the accurate and timely packing and loading of outbound FedEx and UPS orders. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick pack and prepare customer orders for shipment via FedEx UPS or other carriers.
- Verify product quantities SKUs and packaging instructions for accuracy.
- Print and affix shipping labels using FedEx/UPS systems or software.
- Load outgoing packages onto appropriate shipping trucks or designated staging areas.
- Monitor daily shipping schedule and ensure all orders are packed and shipped on time.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
- Report any discrepancies damages or delays to the plant management.
- Follow all company policies procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse shipping or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience with FedEx Ship Manager UPS WorldShip or similar systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Good communication and basic computer skills.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced warehouse or production environment. May involve standing walking bending and lifting throughout the shift. Occasional exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor loading areas.
