Job Description

AG&E is an international structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas TX. Founded in 2004 AG&E has 7 offices across the US and one office in India. We are searching for a Senior Structural Engineer Precast in our Naperville IL office.

DUTIES:

Specializes in precast structural engineering of prestressed and non-prestressed reinforced concrete members. Details structural analysis of connections for precast members to various construction materials. Interface with the client design and construction team throughout the project. Performs general building structural analysis of composite steel concrete masonry and wood buildings using hand calculations spreadsheets and structural software. Generates and manages engineering change requests requests for information and change orders. Performs site visits to buildings to survey areas of concern and assess the severity of structural problems. Prepares structural engineering reports providing accurate assessments solutions and recommendations for any structural deficiencies. Reviews calculations and drawings of subordinate team members and helps mentor their development and skills. Review and study current design codes and standards to improve company engineering processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

A Masters degree or the foreign equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineeringor a related field and 3 years of experience in a structural engineer precast occupation. Experience must include the following:

advanced structural analysis and simplified finite element analysis to determine linear static and dynamic analysis of structural systems using RISA 3D Robot Structural Analysis Pro.
Precast analysis software including LECWall Eriksson Wall Eriksson Beam
Seismic and wind analysis of buildings following standard building codes based on current design codes including ASCE IBC ACI AISC
Development of automated calculation modules for analysis and design of structural elements using Tekla Tedds MathCAD and Excel; and
Development of connection details and structural drawings with AutoCAD and Revit.

Work location: 1887 High Grove Ln Naperville IL 60540. Some domestic travel required in up to 1-week increments within the U.S.

Salary: $130000 per year
