This position is under the general supervision of the Director of the Counseling & Testing Center (CTC). The counselor will function as a strong generalist conducting mental health assessments (intakes) urgent care (crisis) assessments triage assessments and professional counseling services (including individual couples group). Other responsibilities include: referral consultation in-service training and
outreach as well as crisis intervention services and public relations services to campus and community members as appropriate. The counselor will also participate on staff student affairs and university committees. Similar to all staff at the CTC the successful candidate will work to make UWL a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students and they will do so in compliance with ethical legal and accreditation guidelines.
Counseling & Testing Center
Masters degree in clinical psychology counseling psychology or social work approved by the WI Professional Counselor section (MPSW14.01). Currently licensed as anLPCLCSW orLMFTor working towards one of those licenses.
Interest and/or experience providing clinical supervision.
