We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in sensor technologies analog circuit design wireless communication embedded systems and/or Edge AI hardware. The ideal candidate will lead the design development and optimization of cutting-edge electronic systems and devices seamlessly integrating advanced sensors and analog components with low-power and wireless communication technologies. This role requires circuit design proficiency and familiarity in embedded system development firmware programming and real-time processing. An ideal candidate will have experience developing Edge AI solutions that process data locally for efficiency and speed. The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop robust scalable and high-performance systems for applications in healthcare ensuring technical excellence from concept to deployment.
General Position Overview: A self-starter who excels in cross functional collaboration. Designs and develops innovative biomedical electrical engineering systems solving complex challenges with creativity and practicality. Gains expertise in applicable engineering discipline engineering electronics skills and metrology. Contributes to technology evaluations and capital equipment selection. Understands and adheres to the Divisions Quality Management System and safety risk management practices. Works to develop expertise in regulatory requirements. Has strong communication skills including the ability to create clear engineering documentation.
Authorization to work and remain in the United States without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorships now or in the future (for example be a U.S. Citizen national or permanent resident refugee or asylee). Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of professional engineering experience; Or MS in Engineering or related field and 3 year of professional engineering experience; Or PhD in Engineering or related field and 1 year of professional engineering experience. Masters preferred. Proficiency with electronic schematic capture and layout tools and simulation software.
