Job Description
Job Title: Residential Nanny
Location: Chelsea London
Start Date: October 2025
Salary: gross per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 5 days per week 7am7pm with flexibility for evening cover (paid as overtime) and proxy parenting when required
Job Overview:
This lovely family are looking for a looking for a positive flexible nanny with a warm personality to help care for their two boys aged 2.5 years and 9 months (born November 2024). The role requires a relaxed yet professional approach with longevity in previous positions and experience caring for children of similar ages. The familys current nanny of 2 years is leaving for maternity leave and a handover period of a few weeks is preferred.
This is a shared care role with the mother with both parents being highly involved. The father works from home in London and in Barbados. The children are happy settled and in good routines. Days off will usually be consecutive and at weekends but may vary during travel periods.
The family are based between London and Ireland then travel extensively in particular spending from approximately November until March / April in Barbados (where the family have a property directly on the beach).The nanny would be required to travel with the family and so must be a confident flyer.
In London the family have a housekeeper twice a week in Ireland the family have a full time housekeeper and in Barbados the family have a full time housekeeping staff and a chef (who also prepares meals for the children and nanny). All nursery duties are required to be completed by the nanny including laundry keeping childrens areas (bedrooms playrooms etc) tidy as well as preparing fresh nutritious meals for the children.

- Full nursery duties including childrens laundry and maintaining tidiness in bedrooms and play areas
- Preparing fresh nutritious meals for the children
- Assisting with daily routines and developmental activities
- Providing shared and occasional sole charge care including proxy parenting during travel or parents absence
- Swimming supervision and confidence in the water
- Flexibility for travel and schedule changes
- London and Barbados: private bedroom and bathroom
- Ireland: separate nanny flat
- Accommodation available for use during off days or holidays if desired
- Must be a fluent English speaker
- Experienced with children aged under 3 years
- Professional yet approachable with a warm personality
- Flexible with hours and travel requirements
- Must be a confident swimmer
- Driver preferred but not essential
- Previous long-term positions with private families
- Opportunity to travel internationally including extended stays in Barbados at a beachfront property
