GCP Data Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust scalable and efficient data architectures that support business requirements and objectives.
• Create and maintain data models and schemas for new and existing applications ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive data models that meet both current and future business needs.
• Ensure data integrity consistency and accessibility across multiple systems.
• Lead the design and implementation of data migration strategies and processes.
• Oversee the development of ETL pipelines ensuring efficient and reliable data extraction transformation and loading.
• Design data warehousing solutions to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Utilize big data technologies to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives ensuring seamless transition of data and applications to cloud platforms.
• Develop strategies for cloud data management storage and security.
• Analyze and optimize database performance identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Implement best practices for database design indexing and query optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers data engineers and business analysts to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
  8 years of experience in data architecture data modeling and database design.
• Proven experience with data migration ETL processes and data warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark Kafka or similar) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases and experience with database performance tuning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data governance data quality and data security best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in cloud technologies (AWS Certified Solutions Architect Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer etc.).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for data management and deployment.
