The Service & Team:

Working within the Child & Family Service in Caradon Early Help Team hours are full -time 37 hours a week Monday to Friday with some expected flexibility around working outside of standard hours to meet the needs of the children/family . There is an expectation that you will support or deliver parenting programmes or programmes for young people which may take place in an evening and will be planned well-ahead

The Role:

Family workers work as part of a larger team they carry out assessments and devise plans of intervention. To do this you will be trained to utilise a range of evidence based approaches including Signs of Safety & Motivational Interviewing. This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

Working Pattern:

Working hours are 37 hours a week Mon-Friday 8.45am-5.15pm but we expect some flexibility around this to meet the needs of the families you are supporting and when delivering parenting programmes.

What youll need to succeed:

You must hold a relevant level three professional qualification related to supporting children and families e.g. Education Health and Social Care and have experience of delivering services for children and their families. We expect you to have read and understood the Role Profile when applying and include a statement detailing your experience against the Role Profile and we will shortlist based on this
