At Visy we love solving problems. And thats something we do better together. Were looking for a Process Engineer to join our Visy rPlastics team in Somerton and help drive process optimisation continuous improvement and engineering support across the plant.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Process Engineer will play a critical role in supporting Operations to optimise plant performance embed best practice and deliver engineering solutions. This is a hands-on role working across operations maintenance and engineering teams to identify bottlenecks improve reliability and contribute to capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture through active engagement in programs and initiatives.
- Support Operations in problem-solving root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.
- Design and implement best practice processes and systems ensuring compliance with standards.
- Facilitate and perform maintenance analysis (RCA FMEA) to drive reliability improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and plant optimisation projects.
- Assist in the preparation of business cases and justifications for capital initiatives.
What You Will Bring
- Degree in Process Mechanical Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or related).
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles with the ability to apply them in a practical operational setting.
- Proven problem-solving ability and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across stakeholders.
- A proactive hands-on approach and commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience in maintenance operations or process improvement (desirable).
