An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to join our Defence Early Lifecycle business in Bristol.

The Programme Manager is a key component of our team ensuring we continue and build on our momentum to set a new standard in how we deliver the next generation of combat air solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop valuable expertise in leadership project delivery and strategic direction.

In this role you will report directly to the SVP Infrastructure and will be accountable for the programme management of our infrastructure projects. You will be delivering on the requirements against UK MOD programmes of work.

With this exciting opportunity you will:

  • Provide project management leadership and direction across the integrated project teams working with internal and external stakeholders such as Group Property IT Finance Commercial Manufacturing Assembly & Test as well as UK MOD.
  • Capture customer requirements and work collaboratively to identify solutions and ensure flow down of all contract requirements to the internal and external supply chain teams.
  • Prepare and disseminate of project performance information relative to cost schedule adherence change management and risk.
  • Develop annual budgets and forecasts providing inputs to both business planning and customer proposals presenting critical information and updates to key stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Develop and deploy best practice across the programme and the key interfaces.

  • A demonstrated proficiency in programme management with a sound understanding of programme management techniques including project governance.
  • Business and commercial acumen.
  • A working knowledge of UK security regulations and understands the principles of security management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels comfortable navigating a matrix structure with strong presentation influencing and communication skills.
  • An inclusive leadership style who will motivate coach and develop teams to drive effective collaboration.
  • A background in infrastructure or infrastructure projects would be an advantage.
  • A self-starter mindset.

This role will require you to hold a minimum Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. There may be a requirement to gain clearance to a Developed Vetting (DV) level. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you dont currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work.
