As a Lead Applications Engineer you will be responsible for preparing techno-commercial proposals/bids and support sales plan for a specific region. The Commercial Application Engineer is the primary technical and commercial resource supporting sales to bid custom product inquiries.

As a Lead Applications Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Designing (mechanical process electrical) of custom solutions for customer specific applications (Flow metering) providing complete technical and commercial offering.

  • Providing cross functional technical and commercial expertise. Solve problems develop and execute objectives for self and others and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.

  • Executing business goals programs and processes. Communicate important market and customer trends back to the business as input for business strategy and product development.

  • Making presentations both internal and external on behalf of the product line. Manage and negotiate commercial and contractual risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process.

  • Communicating requirements for order fulfilment. Direct customer management through clear communication internally and externally.

  • Documenting competitors activities and assess potential market moves. Review and influence customer specifications to assure compliance and/or noted exceptions for development of equipment and service quotations.

  • Gathering industry intelligence to inform business decision-making. Focus on Industrial and EPC projects for Flow product line. Drive the key projects by proposal and product application

  • Responding to sales/customer technical inquiry and facilitate to offer proper product solution. Reinforce sales/channel competency by offering training tools handbook etc.

  • Participating in product promotion activities such as seminar shows online campaign etc. Work closely with global product manager and engineer team to contribute in NPI.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelors degree with proven relevant working experience.

  • Have Technical/Engineering ability to develop technical and commercial solutions from customer specifications. Having commercial and pricing awareness would be advantageous.

  • Demonstrate effective communication interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others and lead teams

  • Have ability Make presentations both internal and external on behalf of the product line.

  • Be a Problem solver: translate the challenges into action to find a solution

  • Have Strong writing and organizational skills. Be a team player: share thoughts questions and ideas with the team.

  • Be fluent in English speaking and writing.
